Customer Service Administrator 

Job title: Customer Service Administrator 
Location: Lower Swanwick, Southampton. UK
Reports to: Directors 
Start date: August 2021
Hours: Full Time Contract (40 Hours Weekly) Mon-Fri

Andark was formed in 1976, originally as a diving contractor. In 1980 we diversified into scuba diver training . Today Andark is one of the country’s largest leisure diving schools offering a range of world-recognised dive courses. 
From 1982 the company started retailing diving equipment. This was soon expanded to include clothing and equipment for other watersports. Now from its retail base near Southampton it sells all the leading clothing brands for yachting, boating, SUPing, Kayaking, Waterskiing, wakeboarding, freediving, snorkelling, spearfishing, surfing, kitesurfing, encompassing all watersports. 

We are situated in the heart of the south’s boating area, surrounded by marinas, sailing schools and clubs, with Cowes just across the Solent..

Here is an opportunity to join our dynamic team.  This role will expose you to many areas across the business potentially identifying good progression routes for your personal development. Drive and determination are essential for your success in this role.

Job overview

This role is all about supporting our customers.  You’ll be their first point of contact with the business so great communication skills are essential.  You’ll become a valued member of our dynamic team and diversification within the role is imperative. 

Responsibilities

Telephone and email management, directing and dealing with customer queries efficiently and politely.  
Website order management and processing (including picking and packing) also dealing with all exchanges and refunds.
Assist customers in all aspects of product recommendation and product knowledge.

Skills required

Be proficient in IT and ideally an understanding of sales order process systems• Have excellent attention to detail and consistency.
• Ability to deal with customers in a professional manner.
• Be comfortable working in a team.
• Be able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Be flexible around the duties you perform on behalf of the company.
• Be highly motivated.
• Excellent time management.
• Good ability to prioritise tasks.
Physical lifting/carrying of product.

Desirable

• Prior experience in a customer service role.
• Have knowledge of and/or participate in diving and/or watersports.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends and bank holidays
