COURSE OVERVIEW
Interested to know what it feels like to take your first breath underwater and experience the sensation of weightlessness in a confined pool environment? Then the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program at Andark is for you
COURSE PREREQUISITES
Minimum age: 10 years old
Satisfactory completion of a medical declaration. If you answer YES to any of the questions in the declaration you MUST contact Andark on 01489 581755 to obtain a PADI Medical Form to take to a GP to confirm you are fit to dive before you come for the Try Dive.
HOW IS THE COURSE RUN
Sessions are run weekly on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7.00 pm, BOOK your space below.
BEFORE YOUR COURSE STARTS
You should receive your E-learning code via email once you have booked and complete your PADI E-learning and medical declaration form online before the session (it will take approximately 20-30mins to complete)
Or
Complete a short teaching session face-to face with an Andark Professional before you get n the pool.
ONE THE DAY OF YOUR COURSE
Arrive at the Dive Centre shop at 6.45pm to collect your mask (if you purchased one when you booked)
Meet the Andark professional running your session, the dive gear, explain basic concepts and help you take your first breaths underwater.
Then it’s into the shallow end of our pool to put on the Scuba equipment and take your first breaths underwater. Once you are confident with the scuba equipment, according to your instructor’s discretion you will be invited into the deep end of our pool (3.4m) to experience pressure (8 and 9 year olds are restricted to the shallow end).

All equipment and fun is supplied, apart from your Mask & snorkel. You will need to bring your own or purchase a set as a package price with the course. You will also need to bring a swimming costume, an old T shirt to wear in the pool and a towel.

What you can do once you’ve taken this program?
Once you’ve successfully taken this program you are eligible to enrol on a PADI OPEN WATER COURSE where you will master the skills and build the confidence to dive independently in a buddy pair up to a maximum depth of 18 metres (or up to 12 metres if you’re between 10-11 years old).
