Hi, my name is Xavier and I am 18 years old. I am just finishing my A levels and hope to go to University to study Geography and International Relations in September. I have grown up round water and have a love of water sports, but my real passion was ignited when I did an introduction to diving at Andark at 13. I realised how much I loved diving and progressed to my Junior Open Water. I qualified as a swim teacher to save up to buy my own scuba equipment which has helped fund my scuba habit! Sunday dives with Andark has helped expand my experience and it has been amazing seeing how they work as a team. When I found out about the scholarship programme I knew I had to apply. This is such an opportunity to fulfill my dream. I have always wanted to be a rescue diver, to help people where I can. I am still figuring what I want to do in life but I know it has diving at the very core of it. This opportunity will help push me in the right direction and I’m really looking forward to being part of such an amazing team
